Due Diligence is a critical component of purchasing or selling an asset. ARI is exceptionally experienced in buyer and seller due diligence in order to determine proper ownership or defected ownership within certain wells or leases within a proposed asset transfer. ARI’s land department works closely with Exploration and Production companies in-house landmen as well as professional independent landmen to ensure the due diligence team is consistent and highly knowledgeable in all aspects of title and division of interest. Our due diligence teams are particularly skilled in well or unit reviews, division order reviews, production reviews, NRI reviews, WI or ORRI reviews, and certain environmental reviews.
During and at the conclusion of a due diligence project, our clients always receive consistent, concise, and standardized reports for their in-house or counsel reviews. Defect lists and a full accounting of tools and reference materials utilized is likewise included within our standardized reports as well. Our due diligence teams are also available for curative duties relative to an asset transfer as well as direct onboarding duties such as retrieval of hard-copy files, downloading of digitized records, or reconciliation and indexing of received files. These duties are also standard for ARI clients divesting assets.
